In 1986, my sister and I went on safari in Kenya. While there, she rufused to let me take any pictures. Apparently, I moved every time the shutter button was depressed. She became the official photographer and that arrangement was quite satisfactory until I started to scuba dive. Wanting to share the wonders of the undersea world with anyone who would pay attention, I was forced to take my own pictures. After about four years and tons of articles on underwater photography "how-to's", some nice images began to emerge. It was then that the thought of expanding to photography above the water came to me. Although extensive traveling has provided the opportunity and inspiration for many images, water remains the subject that captures my heart. With these images my hope is that you, too will be captured by the beauty and majesty of what lays ABOVE AND BELOW. In addition, I hope that it inspires you to do what you can to protect this precious gift for all generations to come.
